In the Field Farm Tour! Tuesday, July 13!
July 1, 2021
“It’s time we control our own destiny and really start changing things for the better,” Del Ficke.
“Please join us. We’d love to see everyone there.”
Once in a lifetime opportunity on Tuesday, July 13 at Dr. Ray Ward’s farm.
Dr. Ray Ward, founder of Ward Laboratories, has never opened his farm doors to the public in this fashion. Now, the timing is right to do so. We hope everyone involved in the pursuit of agriculture will join us – from farmers and ranchers to consumers.
Everyone is invited to come to the farm, Tuesday, July 13, for an “In the Field Farm Tour” at Ward’s farm near Western, Neb. Last year, the lab tested nearly 428,000 soil samples from all over the world. If you have had soils tested from your farm and ranch, more than likely some of them have been at Ward Labs. The end goal of this educational event is to give those in attendance insider information about increasing profitability and resiliency in the use of natural resources.
Event outline:
The field day begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m. and is designed to be a soil-driven field day rooted in education, science, and practical application. Three industry leading partners – Ward Laboratories, Green Cover Seed and Elevate Ag, are coming together to bring you a discussion with experts dedicated to helping producers make necessary and pragmatic changes on their farms and ranches. There will be two different soil pits to see firsthand how Ray’s no-till management practices intended to save water, ended up saving soil too.
The line-up of amazing speakers and frontrunners in the soil health movement includes: Dr. Ray Ward – founder, Ward Laboratories; Dr. Nick Ward – president, Ward Laboratories; Dr. Ashley Hammac – Soil Science/Agronomic Specialist at Ward; Alexis Hobbs – soil health coordinator and new test development at Ward; Willie Pretorius – soil health consultant at Ward; Keith Berns – owner, Green Cover Seed; Del Ficke – owner, Ficke Cattle Company and Ag Relationship Advisor at Elevate Ag.
Melvin Huber III, with Grainsense, will be traveling from Germany to the event too. Huber will assist Travis Kraft – Elevate Ag Regen Ag Advisor with a live demonstration of GrainSense technology and answer farmers’ questions regarding this profit-building tool https://elevateag.com/grainsense.
See you at the farm!
